Maruti Suzuki launched the Swift S-CNG variant in India, Maruti Suzuki has finally shown off the compressed natural gas (CNG) version of their popular Swift hatchback car in India. This version is known as the Maruti Suzuki Swift S-CNG. It is now the brand’s ninth vehicle fueled by compressed natural gas (CNG). The business is now offering the Swift CNG in two different trim levels: the VXi and the ZXi.

Maruti has set the pricing of the Swift S-CNG VXi model at 7.77 lakh Indian rupees, while the ZXi model can be purchased for 8.45 lakh Indian rupees. The brand new Swift S-CNG may also be rented on a monthly basis for a charge that starts at INR 16,499. This option is accessible in every state across the nation.

Maruti Suzuki Swift S-CNG Features

The new Maruti Swift S-CNG is powered by a 1.2-liter K-series Dual Jet Dual VVT engine mill, which generates 89 horsepower at 6000 revolutions per minute and 113 Newton-meters of torque at 4400 revolutions per minute. The CNG engine is capable of producing a maximum power output of 77PS and a torque output of 98Nm. The new hatchback can only be had with a manual transmission that has five speeds. On the CNG, the manufacturer claims to provide a fuel mileage of 30.90 kilometers per kilogram.

In keeping with the characteristics of Maruti Suzuki’s other CNG automobiles, the new Swift comes equipped with a pair of Electronic Control Units that are interdependent on one another and an intelligent injection system. During the process of filling the fuel tank, this is intended to achieve the best possible balance of air and gasoline. The company uses pipes and joints made of stainless steel to minimize leakage and corrosion, and it uses integrated wiring to avoid the risk of electrical short circuits.

The new 2022 Suzuki Swift S-CNG does not receive any modifications to its exterior design in comparison to the current model that is for sale. It has chrome trim on the grilles, the outside rearview mirrors, the indicators, and the LED tail lamps. It sports alloy wheels and LED projector headlamps with daytime running lights. The interior of the Swift hatchback comes standard with a colorful multi-information driver dashboard, cruise control, the SmartPlay Studio with an interface display, and sporty front seats.

During the unveiling, Maruti Suzuki India’s Senior Executive Officer for Marketing and Sales, Shashank Srivastava, stated that “The brand Swift needs no introduction,” and that “the iconic sporty hatchback is now available with proven and tested company-fitted Maruti Suzuki S-CNG technology.” He continued by saying that “The Swift S-CNG is the appropriate proposal for clients who are looking for a zippy yet economical city drive.”

The Hyundai Santro CNG, the Tata Tiago iCNG, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG, the Tata Tigor iCNG, and the Maruti WagonR CNG are some of the vehicles that will be fierce competitors for the 2022 Maruti Swift S-CNG.
